SPINACH STUFFED MUSHROOMS
Mushrooms have a rich profile of antioxidants and B-complex vitamins. These nutrients are being studied to protect our cells from damage and also may inhibit tumour formation. It's low in calories and a great source of nutrients, including fiber, folate, and vitamins A, C, and K. Inclusion of spinach adds fiber to the dish.
Main ingredients :
Mushroom | 100g |
Spinach | 100g |
Whole Wheat Flour | 100g |
Other Ingredients :
Milk | 50ml |
Butter | 10g |
Green chili | 10g |
Salt | As per taste |
METHOD:
• Mix whole wheat flour and milk in a small bowl and keep it aside.
• Heat butter in a pan and add onions, green chilies and sauté for one minute. Add spinach, salt and cook for two minutes. Add the wheat flour mixture, mix well and cook for two minutes while stirring continuously. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.
• Remove the stems of the mushroom and discard them to form a cavity in the mushroom caps. Stuff the mixture into each mushroom cap. Heat butter in a pan and arrange the mushrooms with stuffed side facing upwards.
• Cover with a lid and cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve immediately
