MIXED DAL RICE WITH DRUMSTICK
Lentils include all beneficial nutrients like fiber, protein, minerals and vitamins. Moong dal is rich in Vitamin A, B, C and E and minerals such as calcium, iron and potassium. Adding variety of dals increases the nutritional content of the dish and hence makes it a complete meal.
Main ingredients:
Rice | 100g |
Drumstick | 50g |
Carrot | 25g |
Onion | 20g |
Tomato | 20g |
Lentil (Masoor dal) | 10g |
Red gram dal (Toor dal) | 10g |
Green gram dal (Moong dal) | 10g |
Bengal gram dal (Chana dal) | 10g |
Oil | 10g |
Turmeric powder | 10g |
Asafoetida(Heeng) | Pinch |
Salt | As per taste |
METHOD:
1. Soak all the dals for sometime.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, tomatoes, all dals and spices and pressure cook it for 10-12 minutes.
3. Once the dal is cooked. Add carrot and drumstick and cook it for another 2-3minutes.
4. Mix it with boiled rice and serve it hot.
