BARLEY KHICHDI
                                                                                       
Barley is a very healthy carbohydrate which contains soluble fiber as well as beta glucan which helps drop weight, controls blood sugar levels and also lowers blood cholesterol. Zucchini is packed with beneficial nutrients including Vitamins C and A, potassium, folate, and fiber. Addition of vegetables increases the nutrient value and adds colour to the dish.

   METHOD: 
•  For masala dahi, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Keep it aside.
• Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and turmeric powder and saute for 10 seconds.
•  Add green chilies, barley, salt and water and mix well and pressure cook for two whistles.
•  Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and serve it with masala dahi
