ALMOND SHEERA
Almonds contain lots of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. It helps to lower blood sugar levels, reduce blood pressure and lower cholesterol. They also reduce hunger and promote weight loss. Milk increases the calcium while cardamom helps in gas, bloating, nausea etc.
Main ingredients :
Almond | 100g |
Milk | 100ml |
Other Ingredients :
Sugar | 20g |
Ghee | 10g |
Cardamom | 5g |
Saffron | Pinch |
METHOD:
• To blanch the almond, soak them in enough water in a bowl for at least eight to 10 hours.
• Drain and refresh them using cold water and peel them. Blend it in a mixer using milk to form a smooth paste.
• Heat ghee in a pan and add the almond paste. Mix well and cook for at least four to five minutes while stirring continuously. Add the remaining milk and water and mix well for three to four minutes.
• Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron mixture and cook for six to 7 minutes. Keep aside to cool slightly. Garnish it with almond slivers and serve chilled.
