RAJMA SOUP
Rajma/Kidney beans are a very good source of folate and copper. They are also good sources of phosphorus, protein, vitamin B1, iron, potassium, and magnesium. Adding tomatoes and capsicum in this recipe makes it delicious and healthy. Also, capsicum contains vitamin A which helps to prevent eyes illnesses.
Main ingredients
Rajma | 50g |
Capsicum | 20g |
Onion | 10g |
Tomato | 10g |
Clove | 10g |
Red chili powder | 10g |
Spring onion | 10g |
Salt | As per taste |
METHOD:
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add onions and garlic and saute for two minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for three minutes. Add the rajma, chili powder, salt and two cups of water and pressure. Cook for four whistles.
Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Blend in the pressure cooker using hand blender.If you want to use a mixer then let let it cool and then blend it to form a smooth paste.
Add half cup of water and mix well and bring it to boil and cook for three minutes.
Add lemon juice, mix well and add yellow capsicum, green capsicum and spring onions. Serve it hot.
